Reid Health Care Bill HR 3590

Today the democrats held a closed door meeting for the second time. And they met with the pharmaceutical companies for the second time since last summer. There was a hundred billion dollars of pharmaceutical monies that was at stake with the re importation of prescription drugs.

The first meeting with the drug companies provided a twenty billion dollar cushion for the Pharmaceutical company. There was a Dorgan amendment to save hundreds of billions of dollars to the American Government and the Consumer that the meeting that is taking place at this moment has defeated. The Dorgan Amendment would have allowed the American Government and the consumer to re import all pharmaceutical drugs at the same inexpensive cost that Canada and the United Kingdom pay.

By obtaining sixty votes on the Democratic side they have once more agreed with the drug companies. The drug company agreed for yet another negotiations and take less than a twenty billion dollar cushion if America would not re-import drugs at the much reduced price that foreign countries are paying.

The Johanns amendment restricts the cutting of in home care for seniors and elderly. The Crapo Amendment provides that there will be no tax increase for anyone who makes less than $250,000.00 dollars per year.

The right thing to do is to have a bipartisan meeting from sun up to sun down if necessary until they agree on a health care and insurance reform bill. The wrong thing to do is to push this bill forward without looking before you leap. Do not pass this bill just because it is Christmas time and it is critical that we do something. Take time to sit down and work it out to the good of all Americans. Not some party or agenda of some big insurance guy or some huge pharmaceutical agenda.

My Firend Eunice

Eunice and I enjoyed afternoons watching Trinity Broadcast Network while we waited for our freshly washed laundry to dry in the Florida sun. We always went to church every Sunday evening there at the church where she had gone for the entire eighty years of her life. She was a sweet wonderful women who I enjoyed the company of.

Merry Christmas Sandy!

A disabled women (Sandy) spent over two years looking for shelter after Katrina hit. They threw her out of the fifty year old projects to make room for the bus loads of Katrina victims that traveled over 300 miles to find shelter. Sandy was very sick when Sandy lost her home in Tampa Bay, Florida and there was no where for her to go to rest from the cancer that God told her that HE was healing her from.

Sandy had already experienced the loss of her home in 1995 when a Mississippi judge disregarded the government lease on Sandy's second (2nd) year in that home there in Mississippi with her four children.

That was the first time that she lost all of her possessions and her four children. She became very depressed and got very sick both physically and emotionally. But she was not able to find any permanent housing for another three years until she moved to Florida to those projects. She made the projects her home for over seven years.

She had never been diagnosed with Cancer but with many other disabilities that the Florida Judge gave her Social Security Insurance to help her with in Jan. 2000 including mobility challenging disabilities such as her knee, her foot, her neck, her back and her shoulder.

But she also had internal diseases such as neuropathy, a history of Congestive heart failure and a history of a compromised immune system. She got much worse with her health after she lost her home and just two months ago they located a tumor on her spine that may have been why she was so ill in the first place.

The bible says that it is the duty of the government to care for the needs of the people and there are many records in Nehemiah 7:70, Ezra 8:36 and other books that give record of the government giving aid to the people and even supporting the house of God.

This nation was created on the Magna Carta principals of the British law which is rooted in Judea Christian ethics and biblical foundations.
Most shelters close their doors to the needy at seven in the morning. Most of the people who stay in those places are too sick to work either physically or mentally and some are even on the brink of death.

Or they don't have good enough clothes, shoes or looks to be presentable. Then there is the issue of where the client could get mail or a phone call since they have no mailbox or telephone. There are a lot of issues that the general public has never had to deal with. Anyone who could survive a week of being homeless without going crazy (as Sandy did in 1995), or getting raped at least once (as Sandy did in 1995) or killed is a miracle life anyway.

The American Government needs to purchase old debilitated buildings and or hotels and turn them into shelters for the homeless. There is a wonderful historic building in Jackson, Ms. (the old naval reservation) right next to the fair grounds. Those are the kind of buildings that should never be torn down but needs to be restored and turned into a shelter maybe for homeless veterans. Please see if anything can be done to get every homeless person off the streets and into their own home so that they "may" recover.

Sandy is still fighting death now for several years due to extended time of homelessness. Sandy wants to know that no ones life will be destroyed because of housing discrimination ever again. They also need special legal help to prevent organizations from victimizing or making vulnerable poor or disabled people.

Thank you for your help.

Here is a poem that was written (in May 1995)

HEART OF GOD

WHO IS THAT ONE OVER THERE
WITH A BACK PACK LONG SLEEVES AND MESSY HAIR
DRY EYES THAT CRY WITH OUT SHEDDING A TEAR
A HUNGRY MOUTH FROWNING ABOUT THE FEAR
WITH NO HOPE FOR NOW TRY AND NUMB THE SORROW
PROVERBS GIVES WINE TO THE POOR TO MAKE IT TO TOMORROW
WE SHOULD HELP WHO EVER IS IN NEED
'CEPT FOR THE GRACE OF GOD IT COULD BE ME
IF YOU CAN AND YOU DON'T GOD AIN'T IN YOUR HEART
IF YOU DO YOU'LL BE BLESSED SO BE SMART
HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF IT WERE YOU
HUNGRY, COLD NO MONEY AND THE FLU
NO SAFE PLACE TO LAY YOUR HEAD
YOU'DE BE LUCKY IF YOU COULD FIND A BED
SOME THINGS WE HAVE TO HAVE
A MAILBOX, FOOD AND A HOT BATH

Alcoholics Anonymous AA

I know that many pastors still use the Alcoholics Anonymous and Drug User Anonymous programs. I think they even have one program called adult children of alcoholics. I have been to each of those classes as I was legally termed each of those labels at different points in my life.

The AA communities are very good support groups and operate much like and sometimes better than a church community does. I know that my sister made a lot of life long friends in those classes or meetings.

And the truth is I did find that the fellowship in the AA meetings to be a much closer knit group of people than in many churches that I have been a part of. I am just a real stickler for words and I strongly believe the bible when it says we are to call those things that are not as though they were.

Thus ie: "My name is Kimi and I have been totally delivered and healed from drugs, alcohol and promiscuity (for 9 1/2 years to current date) " instead of the negative confession ie "Hello my name is Sue and I am a drug addict." upon the introductions that everyone gives in those meetings.

That is the only thing that I see any conflict with my faith in. Other than that AA is one of the best communities of love and connections of like minded people than anywhere else that I know of.
The church I attended this morning "The Masters Touch International" with Psychologist Dr. Mark Chironna even mentioned the great works of Bill Wilson and we all quoted one of his "giving prayer confessions" at the end of service.

I know how oppressive life could be when someone has to live in a home of total emotional abuse, alcoholism, and lots of demonic oppression that would accompany an atmosphere of that nature and how I am so glad that I have been set free from that kind of environment.

Now people can be healed and delivered from all kind of behavioral problems just by implementing some of the AA twelve step principals.

I believe that it would even work to bring deliverance from other forms of addictions such as pornography or sexual addictions. I love all of the people in those groups and I really think they are just another sect of God's way of bringing healing to the church as long as the Father, Son Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit is the "HIGHER POWER" that they lean upon.

Twelve Days Of Christmas Began Last Night & My True LOVE Gave To Me; A Big Brown & White Horse

Did anyone else get the twelve days of Christmas gift beginning last night? I was awakened at about 1AM with the sound of my neighbors dog barking for 15 minutes. I finally got scared after hearing something fall to the ground somewhere in the house (later I discovered it was my baby photo) and I called for an officer to come and assist me. Little did I know that he was already in front of my house because there was a big beautiful brown and white horse standing in my front yard.

I asked the officer to come in and see what made that noise and that is when he told me that there was a horse in my front yard. I had so much fun giving it water and feeding it oatmeal. I just knew that was God's doing and it was the first day of Christmas gift. Aint God so good! But I have no barn, no fence and no man or truck to carry the fifty pound bags of oats that they go through each day.

So, this morning when I got up I missed my horse as he must have tried to find a barn somewhere else.
One day if I have everything that I need to care for a horse I sure would love one. I even got to pet the horse on the nose. He was so friendly even though the dogs had startled him to a point of fret he let me get right next to him and give him water that he was so grateful for.

P.S. I did try to get a picture but the batteries were dead and it was so dark. But Police Dept. can verify that God put a horse in my front yard last night.
